The whole mechanism, all the gears are located in plain sight, which gives the cube an extremely mysterious look. Of course, the puzzle resembles a Rubik's cube, although it is much simpler in complexity. The gears contribute to the assembly, as it takes a whopping 12 90 ° turns to rotate the entire cube and return it to its original position. In general, most of the turns of this puzzle will require 180 ° rotation, because 90 ° rotations familiar from the Rubik's cube will bring the Gear Cube into an intermediate state that does not allow the puzzle to be rotated in other planes. So to proceed with the assembly, you will need to complete a full 180 ° rotation in the selected plane. The assembly method consists of 3 stages: - It is necessary to bring the puzzle into the shape of a cube - it is quite simple. - You need to arrange the color so that on each side there are only 2 colors (opposite) - this is a little more difficult, but also feasible. - Completely solving this puzzle as a whole is easier than solving the classic Rubik's cube. Interesting fact The first version of this puzzle was called the Dangerous Cube, because in the original mechanism the gears were sharp enough that you could pinch your finger during the turns.
